WWWBoard Generator for RS-Personal Plan
The WWWBoard Generator has been modified to work with RS-Personal
plan accounts. Setting up a WWWBoard for an RS-Personal plan user should be as
easy as it is for RS-Professional plan and higher users. For RS-Per, the script is
actually located in the server's cgi-bin directory. The generator will determine the
user's plan type and set up the WebBoard accordingly. (Obviously, RS-Professional plan and
higher users will have access to the script via their own cgi-local directory.)
To access the generator, use the following URL from any
RS-Personal plan account:
http://yourdomain.com/cgi-bin/secure/wwwbinst (the domain will need to be active)
Notes:
- The wwwboard.pl script resides in the server's cgi-bin
directory so that it can be shared.
- The generator will create a subdirectory (/wwwboard) off the
root of the user's RS-Personal plan account.
- Associated files (i.e. data.txt, passwd.txt, wwwboard.cfg,
wwwboard.html) will be stored in /wwwboard.
- The wwwadmin.cfg file is stored in /wwwboard/admin and works
in conjunction with /cgi-bin/wwwadmin.pl.
- The WWWBoard features (e.g. title, allow_html, etc.) can be
configured via wwwboard.cfg.
- If the site's domain name is not yet active, the HTML and
config files can be updated to reflect the site's IP.

Partners: You have the option of adding a link to the
generator (using the relative path) from within the Control Panel language tag for
RS-Personal plan users. Be sure to update the wi13 langtag for RS-Personal so that it
reflects "cgi-bin" rather than cgi-local.
